About me

Cathy head shotUnlike the prevailing trend, I am both spiritual and religious. I am a feminist, Episcopal priest (and the spouse of one as well) and mother to two stunning grown children. Being in community and conversation with other human beings who seek God is my greatest joy.

Starting a blog seems crazy, because does the world really needs another blog, for God’s sake? But once I realized that the practice of writing would be good for me and for my spiritual path, I decided to give it a go. This exercise is for me, as a way of seeking God’s voice and God’s face in the world. Maybe for you, too.

  1. Loved this commentary–and I’m a cradle Episcopalian who still refers to the “new BCP” and “new hymnal”. As a parish secretary, Vestry member, and Sunday School teacher, I’m always on the lookout for ways to bring in those who might not otherwise find us. While A2G seems a little weird, it’s ‘preaching the gospel’ like we were told to do. Thanks!

  2. Looking forward to it! It was great to see you at Convention. I totally agree re the reasons for writing, and am continually amazed that as I write to make sense of the world for me, inevitably it seems to matter to someone else, too. So can’t wait to read!
